Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Argentine wonderkid Maxi Romero
from Velez Sarsfield after a breakthrough in talks, according to
reports.
The Gunners were believed to be close to a deal for Romero a fortnight ago, but had to send transfer negotiator Richard Law to South America after talks hit a sticking point.
Its believed the dispute was around third party ownership, but the Daily Mirror says an agreement had now been found.
The 16-year-old will cost £4.5million and will arrive in two years time when he reaches his 18th birthday.
A tricky forward who can play on the wing, Romero has been dubbed as the new Lionel Messi.
